If your workspace existed before the current plans were introduced, **your limits are unchanged**. You keep the plan you chose, at the price you pay, with the limits it had, until you change plan.

The **Billing** page says so: *"Your workspace keeps its original plan limits. Changing plan moves you to the current plans."*

## What your original plan includes

Only three things are limited:

| | Free | Team | Business |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Seats** | 1 | 5 | 25 |
| **Email templates** | 3 | 50 | 200 |
| **Event retention** | 7 days | 90 days | 1 year |
| **Notifications** | Email & in-app | All channels | All channels + presets |
| **Add-ons** | — | — | Extra seats & templates |

None of the newer limits apply to you. There is no cap on workflows, enrollments, segments, broadcasts, domains or the other limits in [Plan limits](/billing/plan-limits), and features such as temporary inboxes, Platform mode and the audit log stay available. There is also no [overage](/billing/business-overage): nothing is metered.

On the original Business plan, extra seats ($10 a seat a month) and template packs (10 templates for $5 a month) work as before, from the **Add-ons** card on the Billing page.

## What moves you to the current plans

Your workspace moves to the current plans the first time its **plan tier changes**:

- upgrading, for example from Team to Business;
- downgrading, for example from Business to Team;
- cancelling, which moves the workspace to Free.

These do **not** move you:

- changing the number of add-on seats or template packs;
- switching Business between monthly and annual billing;
- a subscription being paused and resumed.

  Once your workspace is on the current plans, there is no switch in the dashboard to return to the original limits. Check [Plan limits](/billing/plan-limits) for the plan you are moving to before you change.

## What changes when you move

From the moment the new plan takes effect, every limit of that plan applies to your workspace. An upgrade takes effect straight away; a downgrade or cancellation at the end of your billing period.

- If you are already over one of the new plan's limits, nothing is removed. You cannot add more of that thing, and you have **14 days** to get under it before SendOps acts on seats, templates, active workflows and Platform mode. See [Moving to a smaller plan](/billing/plan-limits#moving-to-a-smaller-plan).
- Moving to **Business** turns [overage](/billing/business-overage) on, so on monthly billing you can keep going past the limits and pay for the extra. You can turn it off on the Billing page.
- The **Usage** card on the Billing page switches to the full list of limits for your new plan.
